ADV
& SAS
- Participate
in our hospital response; volunteers and staff are on call to meet
a victim of domestic violence or sexual assault at the hospital 24
hours a day. Volunteers complete a 60 hour training program that prepares
them to offer assistance and information to victims.24-hour medical

- Assist
with planning and implementation of agency's 25th Anniversary celebrations.
- Assist
with community awareness and education programs throughout the communities
we serve.

FOR THE OLDER ADULT
- Volunteers
are needed for the Money Management Program and are trained to assist
low-income seniors in managing their finances.

BOY
SCOUTS, W.D. BOYCE COUNCIL
Unit
Commissioner: Liaison between Units (Packs & Troops & Crews)
and the council and district. Position operates year round and is renewed
annually. Training is available and encouraged. A Unit Commissioner
must be registered with the Boy Scouts of America.

more abused and neglected children in LaSalle County. 30 hours of

VALLEY CENTER FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING
- Volunteers
to assist teens with disabilities during agency functions, such as
teen groups/outings.

to assist youth with disabilities with personal care during group
events.

to assist at deaf/hard-of-hearing support group meetings/outings(requires
signing skills).
- Volunteers
with basic computer skills to assist with word processing tasks, as
well as entering information into Access database.

mailings, and answering the phones.

LABOR
OR LOVE
In 2002 Labor of Love and over 400 community volunteers
improved 36 area homes. It was estimated that well over $150,000 worth
of work was done with 177 businesses, churches, organizations, and individuals
donating materials, time and money.
- All
volunteers must be over 14 years of age, and those under 18 must have
a volunteer form signed by their legal guardian.
- All
volunteers must complete and sign a volunteer sign-up form
- Experience
not necessary.
- Skilled
building trades people will lead each team of volunteers.

SERVICE BUREAU OF ILLINOIS VALLEY

who would be willing to conduct focus groups with the young people
who participate in the program to determine their feelings about the

volunteers with reliable vehicles could help facilitate trips to court,
therapy & medical appointments, and supervised visits with parents,
in both the Foster Care program and the Family Advocates program.
